WorkChoices. Never Again Campaign Bulletin |
|
Wednesday, 18 August 2010 08:51 |
There's only a few more days left to go before we vote on August 21.
But there is still no industrial relations policy from Tony Abbott. In fact he continues to refuse to release one before the election. He claims that business is telling him they want stability and no changes. But the truth is employers want to make lots of changes.

Federal Election Advice Flyer |
|
Friday, 13 August 2010 10:55 |
|
The CPSU has approached each of the major parties and asked them to respond to Members’ concerns in the leadup to the Federal Election on 21 August, 2010.
This Federal Election Advice Flyer (216.4 kB) aims to present you with important information about the Parties’ views on WorkChoices, the Public Service and Mining Taxes and how they are likely to affect you as an employee of the WA State Government.
Our objective as a politically independent Union at election time is not to endorse any one political party or candidate, but to represent our Members’ interests and make sure that their concerns and issues of importance are on the agenda of all political parties.
To build our flyer we drew upon work done by the Federal CPSU. You can read their Federal Election Campaign page and their Election Bulletin (PDF). |

Tony Abbott was forced to promise that WorkChoices was ‘dead, buried and cremated’ – this is a win for union members who campaigned in both 2007 and 2010. It is now up to us all to see that Abbott keeps his word!
