Police Commissioner, Karl O'Callaghan has dropped a pre-budget prophecy that he expects hundreds of jobs will need to be cut from the WA Police Service, a quarter of which is made up of public servants. Toni Walkington spoke to ABC News this afternoon about the impact on services, pointing out that the public service has already paid the price to the tune of 10,000 jobs over the past decade.

CPSU/CSA Officials and Delegates have been in discussions with WA Police since the start of the SDRM Reform process. WA Police initially promoted that SDRM Reform would be a positive for Police Staff with more positions and greater opportunities. This was to be done through civilianisation of Police positions.
