CPSU/CSA Response to the WA State of the State Premier's Speech

“We welcome the changing fortunes of the WA state government and its expected return to surplus,” said Rikki Hendon, Branch Secretary of the Community Public Sector Union and Civil Service Association.

“The CPSU/CSA urges the government to re-invest in public services, which have suffered repeated job cuts and are currently staffed at unsustainably low levels, placing services to the community at risk.

“We also look forward to negotiations for fair pay and conditions that ensure people who work to deliver public services keep up with the rising costs of living.”
