Not-so-'fake tradie' identified as unions strike back
As the identity of the not-so-fake "fake tradie" who starred in a widely-maligned government election ad is revealed, Australia's most powerful union has hit back with an ad campaign of its own.
CFMEU boss John Setka issued the "real tradies" ad via Twitter overnight, noting that Malcolm Turnbull "left something out of his dodgy ad".
The counterpunch features genuine tradespeople holding up placards scrawled with a blunt message for the prime minister: "Your #faketradie ad is terrible".
