We have recently received advice from Worksafe about a new project to visit and inspect park and garden workplaces for safety issues.
Worksafe have seen an increase in injury and accident reports from the outdoor sector and are making it a priority to ensure worker safety in these workplaces.

There are concerns the state's most vulnerable youth could be among the hardest hit if there are "hundreds" of job losses at WA Police.
The outgoing Police Commissioner, Karl O'Callaghan, has told the ABC that police jobs will need to be slashed in response to deep cuts expected in next month's state budget.

Police Commissioner, Karl O'Callaghan has dropped a pre-budget prophecy that he expects hundreds of jobs will need to be cut from the WA Police Service, a quarter of which is made up of public servants. Toni Walkington spoke to ABC News this afternoon about the impact on services, pointing out that the public service has already paid the price to the tune of 10,000 jobs over the past decade.
