20K rally to put our kids first

Education members joined parents, kids and other school staff to protest the Barnett Government’s $180million in cuts to our public education system. Up to 22,000 are reported to have marched up the Terrace to Parliament House to make their voices heard.

It was a fantastic turnout and a reminder that, despite the time that has passed since last year when the cuts were announced, the people of Western Australia are still fired up and still demanding that  staff and resources be returned to our public school system.
