Fremantle move is short sighted and lacks consultation
For months’ staff have been told no plans were in place, but now there is concern for hundreds of workers who are disappointed with the lack of consultation from the Housing Authority, in regards to a possible move to Fremantle.
This further highlights the systemic issue around lack of consultation in government departments.
CPSU/CSA have run some cost calculations, based on current property market conditions, rental potential and previous moving costs of departments.
The costs of this move just don’t add up.
The selling of state building assets for limited financial gain, is short sighted for this liberal government.
We should be investing in the state’s building assets, instead of throwing away taxpayer funds to rent a space.
The current plan will cost more in the long term, which is just further evidence of the government’s financial mismanagement.
