Government refuses to negotiate in GA6

We were advised on Monday 24 March that Government would not make an improved second offer for GA6.

On 13 March your workplace delegates overwhelmingly voted to reject the Barnett Government’s pay offer of 2.5%/yr + trade-offs in job security.

Our counter-claim of 3.5% in each year + no trade-offs has been rejected by government.

At the meeting this Thursday attendees will vote on resolutions proposed by your delegates and decide whether to:

• reject the offer and campaign for a better outcome or
• reject the offer and take it to the WAIRC for arbitration or
• accept the offer take the it to a ballot of GA6 members.

Each option has significant consequences, which we will detail at the meeting before you decide.
