YOUR UNION AGREEMENT: OFFER TO GO TO BALLOT
Late yesterday afternoon, the CPSU/CSA Union Council met and unanimously passed the following resolution:
“The Council endorses putting the third offer for Your Union Agreement to a ballot of members.”
The Council’s decision was informed by the mass delegates meeting immediately prior, in which delegates indicated overwhelming support for putting the offer to a ballot of members.
What is in the third offer?
The decision to put the offer to a member vote marks the point of “in-principle agreement”, which preserves the offer pending the outcome of the ballot.
The ballot will be conducted online, open on Wednesday 4 October 2017 and close on Wednesday 18 October 2017.
Only CPSU/CSA members are eligible to vote in this important ballot to determine your pay and conditions for the next two years. Ask a friend to join and have their say today.
What are the implications of accepting or rejecting the offer?
Lunchtime workplace meetings will be held in a variety of metropolitan and regional worksites from next week until the close of the ballot to discuss the offer in detail and enable members to ask questions. A schedule of these meetings will be released in the coming days – please stay tuned for more details. Visit our FAQ's for more information.
