Malcolm Turnbull's new "fake tradie" ads didn't go so well

Just hours after the Liberal party released a new television ad, Twitter users quickly responded to the campaign via #FakeTradie.

The 30-second video accuses the Labor Party of waging a war on business, featuring a piece-to-camera monologue from a pleasant-but-downcast tradie expressing concern over a Bill Shorten government.


Labor campaign launched in Penrith

Former Prime Ministers, Julia Gillard, Paul Keating and Bob Hawke were all on hand to officially kick off the Labor election campaign in Penrith.


Eddie McGuire in hot water for 'sexist' comments

The Collingwood boss is copping heat for saying he would pay $50,000 to see prominent sports journalist Caroline Wilson held under water against her will. The comments were made during Triple M's "Big Freeze" fundraising event last Monday.


Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten face off for final public debate

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten have faced off in their first online debate, moderated by News Corp Australia columnist Joe Hildebrand. It was final live debate between the leaders before the July 2 Federal Election.
