I haven’t accrued enough credit hours or leave to cover the close down period. Does that mean I won’t be paid for the close down period?

Yes it may mean you are not paid for any days where you do not have sufficient credit hours or leave. You can request that you be given annual leave in advance.  However, if this is granted and then you leave your employment prior to accruing that leave you would need to pay it back.
