Enrol To Vote
To enrol to vote for Commonwealth, State and Local Government elections you need to be eligible to enrol and complete an enrolment form and return it to the Commission.
You can:
or collect an enrolment form from:
- the Commission’s office
- any AEC office
- post offices
Enrolment forms need to be signed and returned to the Commission, as per the instructions on the form.

First things first - let's check your enrolment details. You can check your details on the WAEC website here.
If your details are not available you may be registered as a silent elector, or you may not be enroled to vote. If you wish to check on enrolment status you can contact the WAEC directly:

Update Your Enrolment Details
If you have moved house or changed your name, you will need to update your enrolment. This will make sure that you are correctly enrolled for Commonwealth, State and local government elections.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Once you have lived at your new address for more than one month, you are eligible to be enrolled at that address. Once you are eligible, you must update your enrolment within 21 days.
If your postal address for correspondence has changed, you should update your details as soon as possible.

You may still vote under your old address if an election is held within 3 months of your change of address and you still live within the same voting district. You cannot vote if you have moved to a different voting district.
CHANGE OF NAME
If you have changed your name, you must fill out a new enrolment form to update your change in details.
You can change your name and update your details online.
