IMPORTANT CHANGES TO VERO TRAVEL INSURANCE
Effective Monday, 12 October 2020, Vero permanently ceased underwriting travel insurance products.
Why is this happening?
Vero suspended travel insurance sales in April this year, in line with the Australian Government’s advice not to travel when the COVID-19 virus was declared a global pandemic. The situation has been monitored and the decision has been made not to resume underwriting travel insurance.
What is the impact to customers?
Please be assured this does not affect current policies which will stay active for the agreed term, unless the customer chooses to cancel and refund it. There will also be no change to the policy benefits for customers. For customers who hold an existing policy and need to claim or require emergency assistance, please continue to direct them to contact us on +61 8 8113 4090 or [email protected]ravelclaims.net.au.
Can customers still cancel their policies?
Yes. There are no cancellation fees and/or admin fees for customers who cancel their policy. Vero will provide a full refund of the premium (100 per cent) if the travel has not commenced and no claim is pending, approved or paid.
Partial refunds may apply if the customer started their travel however was cut short, or for cancelled annual multi-trip policies.

All cover is subject to acceptance by Vero Insurance.
If you take out a Vero Insurance policy, a referral commission will be payable by Vero Insurance to Civil Service Association of Western Australia Incorporated ABN 78 678 313 448 (CSA). This commission is included in your premium. Depending on the product, CSA will receive between 5 – 20% of the premium paid in the first year and between 5 -10% of the premium paid for each subsequent year you hold the policy.
