May Day 2026
Event Details
May 03, 2026 at 10:00am - 1:30pm
Fremantle Esplanade
May Day is back again! Join us to celebrate the best day on the union calendar!
May Day is a time to celebrate the gains won by employees working together to achieve common goals. It’s also a reminder of the continuing strengths and achievements we can attain by being united. Don't miss the most important event in the union calendar.
There will be a solidarity march, games and activities for our youngest unionists (and those young at heart) as well as a free saussage sizzle.
This year, we recognise the anniversary of the 1946 Pilbara strike in which Aboriginal pastoral workers across the Pilbara began a historic fight for for better pay and conditions that would later be hailed as a defining moment in the struggle for Aboriginal rights, dignity and self-determination.
CPSU/CSA Members who attend the event will also go into the draw for our May Day 2026 Raffle to win a prize courtesy of ShopRite! Members will receive one additional raffle entry for every guest they bring, so rally your friends, bring your family, and join us for a fantastic day celebrating what it means to be a union member!
