In 2019, the Association assisted me (as one of its members) to pursue a claim against a government department relating to a dispute about my employment status.
The dispute involved a number of novel and complex issues of law and fact, and became the subject of a formal arbitration process. My claim was settled by agreement between the parties, without the need for a substantive hearing, on terms that were very favourable to me.
