Public Sector Reform 2025 - Workload
1. What does this reform mean for my workload and employment terms and conditions?
In the early stages of the announcement the CPSU/CSA cannot foresee any circumstances where any occupational or employee group covered by the Public Sector CSA Agreement 2024 would transfer to a Satellite or Stand Alone agreement under the Public Sector Reform process, however if you have any concerns please contact the union.
Your rights and entitlements to workload provisions are laid out in your agreement. These apply across the coverage of the Public Sector CSA Agreement, Satellite agreements and stand-alone agreements negotiated by the CPSU/CSA on behalf of members, and apply wherever the employer is a party to one of our agreements.
Under the main PSCSAA24 these rights and entitlements are outlined under Clause 58: Workload Management.
These agreements also safeguard the many employment rights and entitlements public sector workers can expected to be upheld, and supported by the union, through the Reform process. If you suspect any of these rights and entitlements are being improperly executed and/or are being withheld please contact the union immediately.
The Union has a range of members-only guides and resources to help you understand your rights and entitlements to safe and manageable workload. We strongly recommend members use our workload tools and resources, engage their delegates and raise workload concerns as a priority, whether your department is are impacted by the Public Sector Reform or not.
Guides and resources can be found here.
